Summer Camp
An important American tradition is summer camp! Since its inception more than 125 years ago, the US has hosted over 10,000 summer camps, each one being distinctive.
Each year, more than 10 million children attend summer camps, increasing the demand for staff.
It takes a lot of work to run the camps, and that’s where YOU come in! To add culture and diversity to their camp while also giving their campers a diverse skill set, camp directors like to hire international staff
Camp Starts
The starting dates for summer camps range from early May to mid-June.
Camp lasts
For camp counsellors, 10 weeks are spent at camp, for support staff, it is 11 weeks, and for day camp counsellors it is 9 weeks. Although some camps last longer than others, the staff will typically be paid more. After camp, you have up to 30 days to travel around America.

Salary
The camp you are hired at determines your pay.
Staff
Staff members at summer camps come from all over the world. The staff at camps ranges in age. The majority of staff members are between the ages of 18 and 25, but some camps have junior counsellors in training who are typically younger and senior staff is frequently older.
